Rebrand

Running your own business can be both exhilarating and challenging.

Sometimes you have time to plan things carefully; sometimes you fly by the seat of your pants.

When Chelsham launched in 2013 everything had to happen in a hurry. We attracted interest very quickly, which meant that the brand, visual identity and related web presence were created in a few days. We needed them to reply to unexpected RFPs/ITTs.

Since then we have had a couple of iterations and the brand has generally served us well. However we outgrew it and it no longer represented what we are all about.

In December 2019 we decided it was time for a full rework. We started with a completely blank piece of paper and some profound questions about who we are and what we stand for, guided by and partnering with a fine brand consultancy Ditto. They have exceeded our high expectations; we hope you agree that the outcome from our work together is superb.

Despite the turmoil created by the pandemic and the associated economic downturn, we stuck with our re-branding project. Now we’ve created this new website which is one element of bringing the brand to life.

So what has changed?

When starting up, there’s an understandable temptation to advertise ‘anything we could possibly do’ in order to win business. We were always aiming to be focused on coaching but we positioned ourselves as coaching, facilitation and consultancy. Within the consultancy element, naturally, lay inclusion.

Our intention now is to be much clearer about our focus and how we do business. We know who we are, we know where we are at our best and we are less shy about our abilities as we enter our eighth year.

Our brand is designed to be beautiful and confident. In a crowded market, we stand out.

And so we devised the clear mission for Chelsham:

Chelsham exists to help people succeed through impactful coaching and inclusion services delivered with skill, experience and intuition, empowering individuals to drive their organisations and careers ever onwards.

Coaching and inclusion are our passions and our specialisms. They are where we steadfastly focus.

And we clarified and confirmed our values, which are critically important for us. How we do business means everything to us - we hope we live up to them.

Finally, we translated this into a visual identity which is an assured evolution for us. New colours, striking imagery and a very different voice.

To invest during troubled times is a statement of intent. To launch during the continuing lockdown is a positive choice.

We have worked with many organisations over the past seven years. In the years ahead we very much hope to be working with you. We know what we can achieve. Together.

My best regards
